Dynamic merge fields are a great way to personalize your automation flows by automatically pulling in real-time data. In Glide Campaign’s Automation Flow Builder, you can easily add different types of merge fields to customize your workflow.
Follow the steps below to add dynamic merge fields:
1. Open the Automation Workflow Builder #
Start by opening your flow or automation.
- In the workflow builder, you’ll see a range of flow steps available to customize.
2. Click the + Button #
On the right side of any input field, you’ll see a + button.
- Click the + button to open the list of available merge fields.
3. Select a Merge Field #
Choose the merge field you want to use from the dropdown list.
- The selected field will be inserted into the input field.
4. Dynamic Data Insertion #
Once the merge field is added, it will dynamically pull the relevant data in real time.
- For example, if you’re using the “Send Email” flow step, it will automatically include personalized details like the recipient’s name or email address.
Variable List Based on Triggers #
The list of available merge fields will change based on your flow’s triggers.
- If your trigger is a “form submission,” the fields from that form will appear in the merge field dropdown.
