You can track email opens, clicks, or failures inside your automation flow. This helps you measure engagement and trigger follow-up actions.
1. Add the “Send Email” Step #
- Drag the “Send Email” step onto the canvas.
- Click on the step name (“Send Email”) and rename it to something identifiable.
- Click “Settings” in the right sidebar.
2. Set Up the URL Shortener #
- Scroll to the bottom of the sidebar to find the URL Shortener section.
- Set the expiry to 0 and click Save.
3. Add the “Wait for Email/SMS Click/Open” Step #
- Drag the “Wait for Email/SMS Click/Open” step onto the canvas.
- The right sidebar will open with tracking options.
4. Configure Tracking Options #
- Select the specific email step you want to monitor.
This is why giving each email a custom name is important—otherwise, all steps will show as “Send Email.” - Choose whether to track open, click or fail
- Set the Wait Timeout to define how long the system should wait before moving to the next step.
Important Note #
Tracking will not work with custom SMTP or Gmail.
